Still the immortal champion of Mortal Kombat, Liu Kang finds himself venturing into the realm of Edenia to rescue the princess Kitana from the vile clutches of Quan Chi. Unsuccessful in his mission Liu returns to Earth and mounts an effort to bring together Earth's greatest warriors. He does it this time not only to free Kitana's home world but also to assist his mentor and Earth's protector - Raiden.

Liu Kang covers himself with green mist in the shape of a large dragon. When it clears up, Kang is seen as a large dragon. He grabs the opponent's body with his mouth and swings him/her back and forth violently, spraying blood in every direction before slamming the victim down. The blood from the swinging falls to the ground a moment later.

Skeet Shoot: F, D, D, U, HP (close)
Liu Kang grabs the opponent and flings them towards the screen, only to hit them with a fireball which causes them to explode before they get there.

Prison Stage: F - F - B - LP (close)
Grabs opponent by legs and spins them around furiously only to let them go, sending them flying to their death in the large fan on the wall.

Goro's Lair: F, F, B, HK (close)
Quickly uppercuts opponent, sending them flying to their death on the celing spikes overhead. (Goro's Lair and New Stages)
